ABOUT

Well Stocked NYC is a personal chef meal prep service that helps busy NYC parents and professionals enjoy healthy home-cooked meals.

Clients select three items from the menu. On the day of their delivery, personal chef Liz Winston grocery shops just for them, spends the day cooking their meals to their specifications, and delivers their meals that evening.

Well Stocked NYC empowers people who don’t have time to cook to sit down for dinner with their families and enjoy healthy, thoughtful meals.

We live in a stressful city, where we have grown accustomed to demanding jobs, fast-paced lifestyles, and space constraints; cooking multiple-ingredient dinners is usually low on the priority list, even when eating well is really, really important.  Walking into a kitchen fully stocked with healthy, ready-to-eat food isn’t just about economizing time; it’s self-care.

Hi, I'm Liz Winston.

I'm the personal chef behind Well Stocked NYC.

I'm a thirtysomething lady in Park Slope who is passionate about cooking, eating well, and helping busy people live their best lives by outsourcing their cooking and meal prep.

Cooking and baking was my first passion in life. When my middle school French class had a holiday party, other kids brought store-bought baguette and jars of Nutella, while I carefully boarded the school bus with a home-made bûche de Noël cake.

In adulthood, I became a public relations and marketing strategist, and worked on PR and marketing campaigns for food brands, cookbooks, and chefs, like Jacques Pepin, Gesine Bullock Prado, and Canal House Cooking. (Fun fact: the late New York Times Magazine food writer Molly O'Neill taught me how to brine and roast a chicken in her upstate New York home kitchen, and I've been using her technique ever since.).

Today, I'm delighted to bring my love of living well and cooking to households across Manhattan and Brooklyn with Well Stocked NYC. I see eating well as a form of self-regard: how we eat is often a reflection of how we see ourselves. We can cue to ourselves that we’re worthy of ease and care (luxury, even) by putting extra thought into what we eat and how we eat it.

My favorite part of running Well Stocked NYC is getting to know so many kind people and lovely families across New York City. My second favorite part is during the fourth hour of a cooking session, when there are three dinners cooking simultaneously and I’m totally in my flow.

When I'm not working, I enjoy practicing new cake decorating techniques, experimenting with new variations on my prized roast chicken recipe, and short-distance running. I’m also proudly and openly autistic, and I’m active in the disability justice community. I also run a monthly event series, People Who Thrive, to help goal-driven New Yorkers find community and get support in going after their dreams.
